GNDU VC assures full support to students

Prof Karamjeet Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University, visited all the university hostels to interact with students who are still staying in hostels following the panic after the war-like situation between India and Pakistan.

During his visit, he assured the students that GNDU stands firmly with them and is fully committed to their safety and well-being. He encouraged them to remain calm, be vigilant and avoid panic.

Gauging the situation before the ceasefire was announced, the GNDU had asked doctors at its health centre to remain present 24X7. The Vice-Chancellor informed the students that the university has already postponed the ongoing examinations in view of the current situation and fresh dates will be notified in due course.

The university had upgraded its health centre with emergency supplies and equipments.

“We have three doctors and beds, and all medicines supplies in place. Also, we have made arrangements for food and lodging of the students and will be collaborating with the Punjab Government for safe transport back home, in case they need,” said Prof HS Saini, Dean Students

Welfare, GNDU.
