The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has made a significant announcement for students. The CA exams, which were postponed in view of the security situation in the country, will now be conducted from May 16 to 24, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) announced on Saturday night. Earlier, the exams were scheduled from May 9 to 14, 2025. The ICAI had earlier this week announced the postponement of the exams.

“It is hereby announced for general information that in view of the favourable developments in the security situations in the country; it has now been decided that the Chartered Accountants Final, Intermediate and INTT-AT (PQC) examinations earlier scheduled from 9 th May 2025 to 14 th May 2025 will now be held from 16th May 2025 to 24th May 2025,” ICAI in an official notice said.

The ICAI will hold the Final Examination (Group II) Paper – 5, Indirect Tax Laws/ International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT–AT), Paper – 1, International Tax – Transfer Pricing on May 16, 2025. Previously, it was scheduled to be held on May 10.

Intermediate Examination (Group II) Paper – 4, Cost & Management Accounting will now be conducted on May 20. Meanwhile, the institute will conduct the Intermediate Examination (Group II) Paper – 5, Auditing & Ethics on May 22.

ICAI CA Final, Intermediate,& INTT-AT (PQC) Exam Revised Schedule

The rescheduled Examinations, as aforementioned shall be held at the same examination centres and at
the same timings i.e., 2 PM to 5 PM (IST) / *2 PM to 6 PM (IST). It is to be noted that the admit cards already issued would remain valid for the rescheduled dates.

Chartered Accountants Foundation May-2025 examination will be held as per the schedule, i.e,
15th, 17th, 19th & 21st May 2025. ICAI added, “It may be emphasized that there would be no change in the examination schedule in the event of any day of the examination scheduled being declared a Public Holiday by the Central Government or any State Government / Local Holiday.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri earlier announced that the directors general of military operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan have agreed to stop all firings and military action on land, air and sea with effect from 5 pm on Saturday.

The brief announcement by the foreign secretary came shortly after President Donald Trump said India and Pakistan have agreed to a “full and immediate ceasefire” after talks mediated by the US.

It is to be noted that India had launched Operation Sindoor on May 7 in reply to the ghastly terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22. The terror attack had killed 26 people. India had struck nine terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan sought to up the ante with a series of unprovoked escalations using artillery guns and drones.
