‘Operation Sindoor eliminated more than 100 terrorists, 9 terror camps, 35 Pakistan Army personnel’: Special briefing

India Pakistan tensions: Lieutenant General Rajiv Ghai, Air Marshal Awadhesh Kumar Bharti, Vice Admiral AN Pramod and Major General Sandeep S Sharda held a press briefing on Sunday, 11 May 2025 to share the latest updates in relation to the India Pakistan tensions.

They said that the Indian Air Force (IAF) identified and destroyed nine targets in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir after Operation Sindoor was launched. More than 100 terrorists were killed on May 7. They said that India’s military strikes were meant to target only terrorists and avoid collateral damage.

Talking about the casualty count in the Pakistan Army, it was informed that nearly 35 to 40 personnel were killed between May 7-10. It was done when India launched retaliatory counterstrike in response to the April 22 terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam.

They informed that India destroyed radar systems in Lahore.

Air Marshal AK Bharti said, “As the DGMO has already outlined, the operation was triggered by the deplorable act in Pahalgam. The sequence of events has been shared in detail. Of the nine designated targets, the Indian Air Force was assigned the notorious terrorist training camps in Bahawalpur and Muridke, both located deeper within Pakistani territory. After thorough target system analysis, we executed precision strikes using air-to-surface guided munitions to ensure effective engagement and minimal collateral damage.”
