According to reports, residents of BDA Colony area under Awadhpuri police station, Deshraj Makoria, his sons and their rival Guddu Batham are allegedly involved in the sale of illicit liquor. The two groups have been fighting to gain supremacy in the illicit business for the past many years.

In the intervening night of Friday and Saturday, the members of the two groups came face to face with each other and pelted stones. The warring groups damaged a few vehicles and even torched three bikes in the middle of the road.
