Centre withdraws notice, 32 airports that were shut to civilian flights now open, airlines yet to commence flights
India has lifted the temporary ban on civilian flights at 32 northern and northwestern airports after easing tensions with Pakistan. The Airports Authority of India cancelled the NOTAM issued amid the May 7 escalation. The IAF criticized Pakistan for keeping its airspace open during attacks, calling it unsafe. Airlines had canceled over 500 flights during the closure.
