Amid India-Pakistan tensions, Harshvardhan Rane gives a befitting reply to Sonam Teri Kasam co-star Mawra Hocane after she attacks personally: ‘So much…’

Bollywood actor Harshvardhan Rane has slammed Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane. Recently, amid the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, Harshvardhan made several remarks about Sanam Teri Kasam 2. For those unaware, Mawra Hocane starred in the film’s first instalment. Amid the strained relations between the two countries, Harshvardhan stated that if the original cast is retained for the sequel, he would not be part of it. Following his statement, the production house promptly announced that Mawra Hocane would not be in the film.

In response, Mawra dismissed Harshvardhan’s and the production house’s move as a mere PR strategy. She wrote, “Someone I expected to have basic common sense has risen from deep slumber with a PR strategy… While our nations are at war, this is what you come up with? A PR statement to get attention? What a pity!”

Reacting to Mawra’s remarks, Harshvardhan has now given her a befitting reply once again.

Harshvardhan Rane got angry after a personal attack by Mawra Hocane. Rane wrote on his Instagram Story, “That sounded like an attempt at personal attack. Fortunately, I have tolerance to overlook such attempts – but have zero tolerance for any attack on my nation’s dignity.”

The Sanam Teri Kasam actor further added, “An Indian farmer would pluck out the unwanted weed from his crop it’s called WEEDING, the farmer doesn’t need a PR team for this act, it’s called common sense. I simply offered to step down from Part 2. I am fully within my rights to choose not to work with individuals who label my country’s actions as ‘cowardly’. So much hate in her speech, so many personal remarks. I never mentioned her name or resorted to calling her names. Didn’t attack her dignity as a woman. I intend to maintain that standard.”

It is worth mentioning that along with Harshvardhan Rane, the makers of Sanam Teri Kasam 2 have also strongly condemned Mawra Hocane’s comment. The makers stated that they do not support Pakistani artists working in India either.
