Operation Sindoor LIVE: India-Pakistan DGMO-level talks delayed
The talks between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan to assess the cessation of hostilities have been delayed.
Originally scheduled for 12 noon on Monday, the discussions are now expected to take place later in the evening, according to sources.
While officials in Delhi confirmed the rescheduling, they declined to disclose the reason for the delay.
Meanwhile, ahead of the DGMO-level talks, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired another review meeting with the top security and military advisers.
The PM is learnt to have told the top military commanders to make the Indian terms of zero tolerance to terror adequately clear to Pakistan when the two DGMOs engage.
The PM is also learnt to have told the commanders to make sure India’s position on Pakistan’s escalations and provocations are made clear to the neighbour.
In a review meeting on Sunday, the PM told the commanders that “if Pakistan strikes, India will strike harder.”
India continues to maintain a high state of operational readiness on all fronts, the PM’s review meeting was informed.
The meeting at PM’s residence was attended by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, NSA Ajit Doval, CDS Gen Anil Chauhan and three service chiefs.
