Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani’s ultra-luxurious home Antilia has no AC; it stays cool because…
The Ambani family, often regarded as India’s richest family, resides in one of the most talked-about homes in the world — Antilia. Owned by business magnate Mukesh Ambani, who regularly tops Forbes’ list of India’s wealthiest individuals, the 27-storey skyscraper home isn’t just a symbol of luxury, but also a marvel of modern innovation.
Going by the media reports, the property is said to feature 49 bedrooms, 168 parking spaces, a ballroom, a 50-seat theater, hanging gardens, swimming pools, a health center, a spa, a temple, and even a snow room.
It is to be noted that Antilia was built at an estimated cost of Rs 15,000 crore. The royal residence was designed by the Chicago-based architecture firm Perkins and Will. Meanwhile, its construction was managed by the Australian company Leighton Holdings.
One of the most surprising facts about Antilia is that it doesn’t use a conventional air conditioning system. So, how does the massive estate stay cool?
Going by the media reports, the ultra-luxurious Antilia features a specially designed central cooling system that blends seamlessly with the home’s unique architecture. Unlike traditional ACs with bulky outdoor units, this system is integrated into the building’s design to maintain both comfort and aesthetics.
The Ambani residence, Antilia, features a highly sophisticated centralized cooling system—but it’s unlike anything found in a typical home. The temperature inside the house isn’t manually set; instead, it’s automatically regulated based on the internal environment. Elements such as marble, fresh flowers, and indoor plants play a crucial role in determining the ambient temperature. Reports suggest that to preserve the quality and appearance of these materials, especially the marble and floral arrangements, the system adjusts itself across different areas of the mansion to maintain ideal conditions at all times.
