Odisha DGP Takes Stock of Security Arrangements for Puri Rath Yatra
Bhubaneswar: Odisha DGP YB Khurania visited Puri’s Jagannath Temple to assess security arrangements for the upcoming Snana Yatra and Rath Yatra.
In a review meeting with senior police officials, including Additional DGPs and Puri SP, he focused on crowd management, traffic control, and law enforcement to ensure devotee safety.
The DGP reviewed CCTV surveillance, rapid response teams, and the deployment of the armoured vehicle ‘Vajra’ at the temple entrance.
He emphasized to ensure robust security measures for the smooth conduct of the upcoming Rath Yatra festival.
