Madhya Pradesh's Historic Achievement in the Energy Sector

Madhya Pradesh's Energy Minister, Pradyuman Singh Tomar, announced that the state has set a historic milestone in the operation of the power system during the financial year 2024–25. The state's transmission network successfully handled a total of 1,01,039.88 million units of energy, which is approximately 6.2% more than the previous year.

Tomar stated that this achievement is the result of the expertise of the engineers and technicians of the state's power companies, efficient management, and excellent maintenance of the power system. He congratulated all the officers and employees of the power companies for this accomplishment.

Record for Highest Single-Day Energy Handling Also Set:-

He further informed that on February 24, 2025, Madhya Pradesh also set a record for the highest single-day energy handling. On this day, 353.77 million units of energy were successfully managed, showcasing the high efficiency, reliability, and stability of the state's power system.

Rising Power Demand and Continuous Supply:-

Tomar also shared that during the previous financial year (2023–24), the state had handled a total of 95,137 million units of energy. This year, with the continuously rising power demand being successfully met, a 6.2% increase was recorded. This achievement was made possible due to the consistent availability of the power system at all levels across the state.

He added that for the past two years, there has been a steady increase in energy handling in the state: 88,850 million units in 2022–23, 95,137 million units in 2023–24, and now 1,01,039.88 million units in 2024–25.
