Honda Introduces 2025 CB650R and CBR650R with E-Clutch in India

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the 2025 models of the CB650R and CBR650R in India. These motorcycles are the first in the country to feature Honda’s E-Clutch technology. Bookings are currently open through BigWing dealerships and online via the official website. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in the last week of May 2025. The CB650R is priced at ₹9.60 lakh and the CBR650R at ₹10.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The E-Clutch system, introduced globally in 2023, automates clutch operation during starts and gear shifts, removing the need for manual clutch lever use. This system is designed to reduce the rider’s effort during operation.

The CB650R features a minimalist design following Honda’s Neo Sports Café styling. It includes a round LED headlamp, exposed frame, and sculpted fuel tank. Colour options are Candy Chromosphere Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic. It is powered by a 649cc, liquid-cooled, inline four-cylinder engine producing 70 kW at 12,000 RPM and 63 Nm of torque at 9,500 RPM. The bike uses a six-speed transmission and includes the E-Clutch system. The suspension system consists of 41 mm Showa SFF-BP inverted forks and a rear monoshock with preload adjustability. Braking is handled by twin 310 mm front discs and a 240 mm rear disc, with dual-channel ABS. A 5.0-inch TFT display offers Bluetooth smartphone connectivity via the Honda RoadSync app.

The CBR650R has a full fairing and forward-leaning riding position. It is offered in Grand Prix Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic. It shares the same engine, transmission, and E-Clutch system as the CB650R. Additional features include Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC). The suspension and braking components are also identical to the CB650R, and it uses the same TFT display with Bluetooth features.
