The movie received mixed reviews from the critics and audience and emerged as Shankar’s second major box-office bomb after Indian 2. However, the film fell flat on day 2, earning just Rs 21 crore, and then further on Sunday, managing under Rs 16 crore. Made on a budget of Rs 450 crore, Game Changer earned only Rs 178 crore in total.
