Raipur Meteorological Center has issued an Orange alert for Dhamtari and Gariaband districts of Raigpur division. On the other hand, a yellow alert has been issued for Kondagaon, Kanker of Bastar division, Mahasamund of Raipur division, Janjgir-Champa, Raigarh, Bilaspur, Korba, Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, Mungeli districts of Bilaspur division and Jashpur, Surajpur, Surguja, Korea and Balrampur districts of Surguja division. Winds are likely to blow at a speed of 40 to 60 kmph in these districts. There may also be incidents of lightning along with thunder. The weather department has issued this alert for three hours. There is a possibility of thunderstorm and lightning in some areas.

There is severe heat in May, relief this year

According to Raipur Meteorological Center, the western disturbance is located at 70 degrees east and 27 degrees north at a height of 3.1 kilometers. According to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of any significant change in the maximum temperature of South Chhattisgarh i.e. Raipur, Durg-Bhilai, Rajnandgaon, Bilaspur, Bemetara, Balod districts. According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature of Raipur is likely to remain around 41 degrees Celsius.
