Zoravar Light Tank, Directed Energy Weapons and Brahmos 2: Deadly future weapons of India that can bring Pakistan, China on their knees, 4th on the list is…
In a significant turn of events leading to attack on the terror camps and army bases located in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, India conducted ‘Operation Sindoor’ in which it attacked nine terrors camps of Pakistan, killing more than hundred terrorists. Several weapons like the Brahmos missile and the S-400 missile defence system gained wide appreciation as a result of their reported usage during the operation. However, the future weapon force that the Indian Armed Forces will hold in the coming years is something that will blow the mind of both Pakistan and China.
As a symbol of India’s strategic defence growth, India will have the majestic Brahmos-2, a hypersonic cruise missile and Hypersonic Glide Vehicle (HGV), which is an advanced technology that is capable of flying at hypersonic speeds.
1. BrahMos-2 missile
Brahmos 2 is a hypersonic cruise missile developed by BrahMos Aerospace, a joint venture between India and Russia. Called the advanced version of the existing BrahMos-1, the missile is poised to become the world’s fastest and deadliest cruise missile. Moreover, due to its speed, range and stealth capabilities, the missile will be one of the biggest strengths of India in the coming years. The missile will have a range of up to 1,500 km, and can have the maximum speed of 7-8 Macs.
2. Directed Energy Weapons (DEW)
Directed Energy Weapons (DEW) are advanced technology-based weapon systems which are used to destroy targets using electromagnetic energy (such as lasers, microwaves, or particle beams). The weapon will be significant for India’s defence in the coming years due to the rising threat of Pakistani and Chinese drones.
3. Hypersonic Glide Vehicle (HGV)
Hypersonic Glide Vehicle (HGV) is an advanced technology weapon capable of flying at hypersonic speeds (more than Mach 5) and accurately hitting the targets. With its advanced radar evading capability, the DRDO developed India’s Hypersonic Technology Demonstrator Vehicle (HSTDV) is expected to be major boost to the defence of India.
4. Zoravar Light Tank
The indigenous Zoravar Light Tank, developed jointly by DRDO and Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is expected to be a major boost to the defence of India due to its specially designed which enables its deployment in high altitude areas like eastern Ladakh, a area which is very close to India.
5. Drones
Multiple drones like Heron Mark 2, TAPAS-BH and Sea Guardian MQ-9B are expected to help India in Navy combat operations.
