Parents face the consequences of road accidents caused by underage drivers

In the past four months, the traffic police say five persons have been killed and 22 injured in road accidents that involved minors behind the wheel. According to the Motor Vehicles Act, the parent of a minor involved in an accident can face imprisonment of up to three years and a fine of ₹25,000
