Six arrested in murder case in Ambala

The Ambala police have arrested six persons in connection with the murder case of Hardik, who was stabbed to death in Ambala Cantonment late Sunday evening.

The suspects have been identified as Rajbir, alias Kaku, Anshul, alias Vasu, Rajinder, Sukhdev, Shiv Kumar, alias Shibu, and Harsh, residents of Ambala. They will be produced before a court on Tuesday.

In his complaint to the police Rishabh, a resident of Ambala Cantonment, stated that he along with his friends (Suraj, Kuldeep, Shivam, and Hardik) were sitting in a ground. Meanwhile, Suraj said that Rajbir had been harassing his sister and later Suraj went to meet Rajbir and slapped him. Later, Rajbir returned with his brother Vishesh, father Rajinder, uncle Sukhdev, Shibu and Tinku and some more people. They were carrying sharp-edged weapons and sticks. After seeing them coming, Rishabh and his friends tried to flee but Hardik fell down, and he was caught by Rajbir and the other accused.

The complainant alleged that Rajbir and his father stabbed Hardik, while other people also thrashed him. They left him injured on the ground. Later, Rishabh and Kuldeep took Hardik to Civil Hospital Ambala Cantonment where he was declared dead.

Case registered at Mahesh Nagar police station.

The SHO, Mahesh Nagar police station, Ajit Singh, said six persons were arrested and would be produced before a court on Tuesday. “The weapons and vehicles used in the crime will be recovered during the remand. The accused have been arrested,” he said.
