Is a civic issue bothering you? Are you agitated over the lack of concern? Is there something heartening that you feel needs to be highlighted? Or a picture which in your opinion ought to be seen by many, and not just you?

Sans protective guards, trees get damaged

THE municipal corporation and local administration have planted trees alongside road dividers as part of the beautification project. However, the removal of the protective iron grills has left trees vulnerable. Many are drying out, while some are being damaged or eaten by animals due to lack of proper guards. Appropriate measures must be taken to protect trees and ensure the success of the beautification initiative. Gaurav Badhwar, Rohtak

                                              Unattended vehicles cause inconvenience

PEOPLE leave their vehicles unattended in the non-parking areas of the Ambala Cantonment in a haphazard manner. The congested lanes coupled with encroachments on roads lead to frequent traffic jams. It becomes difficult to negotiate through the wrongly parked vehicles on roads. Besides, encroachments on roads by vendors and shopkeepers also adds to commuters’ woes. Vehicles parked on roads must be towed by the traffic police. Action should be taken against people who violate traffic laws.
