Haryana board Class XII results — Pass percentage: 85.66; Jind dist performs best; girls outshine boys

The Board of School Education Haryana, (BSEH), Bhiwani, declared the result of the Class XII Senior Secondary Regular and Open School Examinations today. While the regular students’ pass percentage is 85.66, the pass percentage of students who reappeared for their examinations (private students) is 63.21. The pass percentage of students who appeared in the ‘open school’ category is 36.35.

Board chairman Prof Pawan Kumar and Secretary Munish Nagpal announced the result in a joint press conference in Bhiwani today. Students can check their results on the official website of the board www.bseh.org.in.

The officials informed that among 97,561 female candidates, 87,227 passed, recording a pass percentage of 89.41. Out of 96,267 male candidates, 78,804 passed, recording a pass percentage of 81.86. Thus, girls outperformed boys by a difference of 7.55 per cent.

A total of 1,93,828 candidates appeared in the regular senior secondary examinations, out of which 1,66,031 passed and 7,900 failed. The commerce students have the highest pass percentage of 92.20, followed by students of Arts with a pass percentage of 85.31 and those of science with 83.05.

The private school (86.98 per cent) students performed slightly better than government school students (84.67 per cent).  While students from rural areas scored 85.94 per cent success in passing, those in urban areas had a pass percentage of 85.03.

Among districts, Jind achieved the highest pass percentage, while Nuh district is at the bottom of the chart.

Board Vice Chairman Satish Kumar stated that the pass percentage for private senior secondary candidates is 63.21 per cent. A total of 3,419 candidates appeared for this exam, and 2,161 passed. The results for the senior secondary open school annual exams (fresh and re-appear) have also been declared today. In the ‘open school’ (fresh) category, pass percentage is 36.35 as a total 14,144 students appeared, of which 5,141 passed.

The candidates can apply for re-checking or re-evaluation of their answer sheets and can apply online within 20 days from the date of result.
