Sitaare Zameen Par: Unique Storyline, But Aamir Khan's Acting FAILS To Impress In Trailer (WATCH)
Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has returned with Sitaare Zameen Par, three years after his 2022 film Laal Singh Chaddha, which starred Kareena Kapoor Khan. Despite high expectations following the box office debacle of Laal Singh Chaddha, the trailer for Sitaare Zameen Par—a spiritual sequel to his 2007 film Taare Zameen Par and inspired by the 2018 Spanish film Champions—was unveiled on Tuesday.
While the storyline appears fresh, Aamir's performance in the 3-minute-21-second trailer falls flat and lacks the spark typically expected from him.
In the trailer, Aamir is seen playing the role of a basketball coach. However, things take a drastic turn when he drinks and drives, accidentally crashing into a police car. As punishment, he is sentenced to teach basketball to intellectually disabled children for three months. When informed, he responds, "Madam, teen mahine tak pagalon ko sikhaunga."As he repeatedly uses the word 'pagal,' the judge continues to increase his fine.

While some scenes in the trailer come across as funny, Aamir's look constantly reminds of his 2014 film PK. Unfortunately, the spark or magic typically associated with his films seems to be missing from this trailer.
Genelia Deshmukh appears in only a handful of scenes in the trailer, but she brings a breath of fresh air to the screen.
The film introduces 10 debutant actors: Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar.
Produced by Aamir and directed by R. S. Prasanna, best known for Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, the screenplay is penned by Divy Nidhi Sharma. The movie is set to hit theatres on June 20 this year.
