200 years after inception, north India’s oldest church breaks from English-only past with first Hindi service
Meerut's St John's Church, a 200-year-old British-built landmark, held its inaugural Hindi prayer service, a significant shift from its English-only tradition. The service coincided with the anniversary of the 1857 uprising, which began in Meerut. This decision aims to welcome Hindi-speaking Christians, while English services continue.
