Daredevil: Born Again Season 2: Krysten Ritter set to reprise her role as Jessica Jones

Krysten Ritter is officially set to return as hardened private investigator Jessica Jones, her MCU debut, in the second season of Daredevil: Born Again.
This announcement was made during Marvel’s portion of Disney’s upfront presentation to advertisers on Tuesday, which also featured a first look of Wonder Man, starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Ben Kingsley, which would premiere in December 2025. Both shows are a part of Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Ritter said, “I’m so excited to bring back this iconic character, and without giving too much away, there is much more in store for Jessica Jones. This is going to be an incredible season!”
Ritter previously starred in Netflix’s adaptation of the character in Marvel’s Jessica Jones, where the won a Peabody Award for Entertainment and Children's programs. However, along with Netflix’s other adaptations of other characters, shows like Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher, and The Defenders, these were cancelled around the 2020s, due to the expiring license of Netflix’s rights over these characters, returning them to Disney.
Around January 2022, Disney made plans for these characters and their actors to return and place them within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Charlie Cox reprising his role as Matt Murdock/ Daredevil in Spider-man: No Way Home and Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk/ Kingpin in the television series, Hawkeye. Since then, fans have speculated about other characters from Marvel and Netflix’s television universe.
