Videos of two SUVs performing stunts goes viral in Gurugram

In another case of dangerous driving, videos of two SUVs, a black Toyota Fortuner and a black Mahindra Scorpio, performing reckless stunts on the Gurugram-Sohna elevated road have gone viral on social media. The occupants of the vehicles filmed themselves creating reels while driving dangerously for several kilometers, putting lives at risk.

While filming the reels many vehicles, including school buses, crossed them, but they refused to yield.

Three such videos have surfaced online, featuring background music from Haryanvi and Punjabi songs such as “Z Black Sheeshe, Gaadi Kaali Rakhen Re” and “Jitthe Jaavenge Gaddi Modange.”

In one video, the drivers of both SUVs are seen driving parallel in the middle of the road, blocking traffic and forcing surrounding vehicles to navigate carefully around them. In another clip, they are seen zigzagging across lanes, causing nearby drivers to slow down to avoid accidents. Alarmingly, one video shows a school bus closely following the SUVs, yet the youths continued performing stunts directly in front of it, ignoring safety concerns.

After the videos gained traction online, Gurugram police took notice. “We are identifying the individuals involved based on the vehicle numbers visible in the videos,” said a police spokesperson.

ACP (Traffic East) Virender Singh said strict action would be taken against the accused. “Those who perform stunts on public roads and endanger lives will face consequences. We are reviewing the videos to identify and apprehend the culprits,” he stated.

Reckless stunts for social media clout have become a recurring issue in Gurugram, with youth frequently using major roads like Dwarka Expressway, Sohna Road, Golf Course Road, and NH-48 as racing tracks or stunt arenas.
