Mumbai: A 19-year-old college student was harassed in a first-class ladies coach of a Mumbai local train at Goregaon station on Wednesday morning. The disturbing incident came to light after the victim’s friend shared the incident on Reddit, where it quickly gained attention and concern from users.

According to the Reddit post by user Upset_Presence9125, the college girl boarded the 10:44 AM local train from Goregaon to Vile Parle, where she attends college. While the train was on the station, an unidentified man approached the window of the first-class ladies' coach and started abusing her and making inappropriate comments.

The victim began recording the incident on her phone. When the accused sensed he was being filmed, she cleverly pretended to be on a phone call and discreetly captured his face on camera as he continued to harass her.

The video, which was attached to the Reddit post, shows the man moving away after realising he was being filmed at the end of the footage. In an video shared by the victim's friend, she stated that “The incident left my friend extremely upset,” the post read. “We want everyone to remember his face so that no other girl has to go through this.”
