India’s veteran superstar has made headlines for his work and personal life. Been in the industry for almost 55 years he has been in over 200 films. The actor’s career started as a voice narrator, and then he gained fame from the movies Anand, Zanjeer and Roti. There were several hurdles in his life at that time, but nothing stopped him from becoming the Shahenshah of Bollywood. We are talking about Amitabh Bachchan.

At the start of his acting career, Bachchan was not happy with brand endorsements. He refused the deals, so much so that even when he was offered Rs 10,000 for an ad in 1960, he didn’t accept. Amitabh Bachchan was making Rs 50 at that time for doing a radio show. He used to sleep on benches with rats on Marine Drive, Mumbai.

In an old interview, Big B admitted how he decided to resist the temptation as he wanted to be considered a serious actor. “There were opportunities then, too, when ad agencies approached me. I was offered Rs 10,000 for an ad, which was huge money since I was earning Rs 50 a month doing radio spots. But I felt doing an ad would take something away from me,” he told the media.

As reported by Live Mint, Amitabh Bachchan has Rs 472 crore worth movable assets and Rs 332 crore immovable assets. His and his wife, actress and politician Jaya Bachchan’s combined total assets are reportedly worth over Rs 1,001 crore.
