Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are set to host Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru as the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is set to resume on May 17 (Saturday). Ahead of the clash, Virat Kohli was spotted batting in an open nets session on Thursday, May 15. Fully padded up, the star batter looked focused as he returned to training shortly after joining the squad earlier in the day. Notably, it was his first trainings session after announcing retirement from Tests on May 12.

RCB sit second on the points table with eight wins and 16 points from 11 matches. Riding on a four-match winning streak, they'll look to pick up right where they left off.

The right-hander recently announced his retirement from Test cricket, has been in sublime form in IPL 2025 . Before the week-long break, the RCB star piled up 505 runs in 11 matches at an impressive average of 63.12 and a strike rate of 143.46.

Notably, kohli has notched up seven half-centuries this season, each contributing to an RCB win. In their last outing against CSK at home, he blazed his way to 62 off just 33 balls, smashing five fours and five sixes at a strike rate of 187.87.
