Bengaluru: In a shocking incident that surfaced from Karnataka's capital, Bengaluru, a thief entered a mobile shop naked and selectively stole expensive mobiles to spend money on his girlfriend. The incident was caught on CCTV and soon the video went viral on social media. The shop, Hanuman Telecom, is located in the Hongasandra area of the metro city.

The incident reportedly took place between 1:30 am on May 9. The thief has been identified as 27-year-old Imranullah from Assam. He reportedly entered the shop through a two-foot-wide hole in the wall. Imranullah barged into the shop without clothes and covered his face with a face mask. He reportedly used his mobile's torch to carry out a burglary in the shop and carried a bag with him to put the stolen mobiles in it.

Video Of The Incident:

According to a report published in The Times of India, the shop owner, Dinesh, was away due to a family emergency. Dinesh is a native of Rajasthan. The next day, when the shop owner checked the CCTV footage of his store, he was shocked to see a man roaming naked and stealing expensive mobiles. He then immediately alerted his friend Vasanaram.

"I rushed to the shop and saw the hole drilled into the left wall. I informed the police immediately and filed a complaint," said Vasanaram, as reported by TOI. After receiving the information, the police reached the shop. Cops found that expensive mobiles were missing.

Upon scanning CCTV footage, the police found out that there was one more person with Imranullah. He was standing outside the shop to alert the burglar if anything went wrong. Imranullah was arrested by the police. Meanwhile, the search is underway to nab the thief's accomplice.

However, the thief narrated a bizarre reason for entering the shop without clothes. He told the police that as he entered the shop through a narrow hole, he did not want to spoil his new clothes. He further revealed that he had carried out a burglary to give expensive gifts.

A case has been registered in the matter under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS).
