Surprise search operation conducted at Modern Jail

The Punjab Police on Thursday conducted a surprise search operation at Modern Jail in Kapurthala. The early morning operation was led by SP (D) Prabhjot Singh Virk, along with multiple police teams.

Senior officials at the DSP level, station house officers from various police stations and a large number of police personnel participated in the intensive checking. The teams thoroughly searched various barracks of the jail.

Jail Superintendent Shyamal Jyoti was also present during the inspection to assist and coordinate with the police officials. The operation is part of an ongoing effort to curb illegal activities within jails.
