BJP leaders conduct extensive tour of Samba, Kathua, assure safety measures

KATHUA, May 16: A delegation of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) led by Sat Sharma (CA), president of J&K BJP, visited several villages along the international border in Samba and Kathua districts to review the ground situation after the Pakistani shelling. The visit was aimed at interacting with the local residents, understanding their issues, and ensuring strong long-term safety measures.
Sunil Sharma, Leader of Opposition in Assembly, Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP (Lok Sabha), Dr. Narinder Singh, BJP national secretary and MLA, Sham Lal Sharma, vice president, J&K BJP and MLA, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, general secretary and MLA, Chander Prakash Ganga, MLA, RS Pathania, MLA, Keshav Dutt, Chairman DDC, Subash Bhagat DDC, Sarabjeet Singh Johal, Narayan Singh, Prabhari, Munish Khajuria, Jai Sharma, Rashpaul Verma, Anita Choudhary, Darshan Singh, Kulbhushan Singh, Narinder Singh, Asha Rani, Nancy Singh and others accompanied the BJP President.
The BJP leaders visited several villages including Ramgarh, Abtal, Kungwala, Pangdour, and Rajpura in Samba district, as well as Londi Morh, Londhi, Babia, and Chack Changa in Kathua district. During the tour, the delegation interacted with residents who shared their issues and apprehensions. The leaders also held a series of meetings with local BJP workers and prominent citizens.
Addressing the party workers and residents, Sat Sharma lauded the strong resolve of residents who stood firm against Pakistan’s continued ceasefire violations. He assured the people that BJP is committed to securing lasting peace in border areas and will take up the matter with the Central Government for a comprehensive and permanent solution. “Pakistan will not dare to repeat such actions for the next 90 years after the bold 90-hour operation by Indian forces. Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has made it clear that no sacrifice will go in vain, and Operation Sindoor is a testament to our national resolve,” he stated.
Responding to the local residents’ request to strengthen the Village Defense Groups (VDGs) and provide bunkers, Sat Sharma assured them that the party fully supports their genuine demands.
Sunil Sharma praised the unwavering support of the people for the Indian Forces. He emphasized that despite Pakistan’s continued misadventures, the region has witnessed minimal disturbance.
Dr. Narinder Singh emphasized the need for long-term security infrastructure, advocating for the construction of community bunkers and the enhancement of early warning systems in vulnerable areas.
Jugal Kishore Sharma reviewed the supply of essential services such as food, drinking water, and electricity for the displaced and affected families, assuring them of full support from the administration.
Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal lauded the courageous border residents who stood on their ground and chose not to migrate. He, reaffirmed the party’s unwavering commitment to their welfare.
Sham Sharma commended the Indian forces for their continuous capacity-building efforts and encouraged the border residents to actively support and strengthen the Army’s mission to safeguard the borders.
