His marksheet, shared by IAS officer Jitin Yadav in August 2023, showed that he scored well in English (83) and Social Science (81), with average grades in Science, IT, and Hindi. Kohli admitted that the subject never made sense to him, and he found it difficult to connect with its formulas or logic. Recalling his school days, he shared how low his scores would sometimes go.
“In math, we used to have exams out of 100. I used to get 3. I was that good. I did not understand why someone would even want to learn math,” he said with a laugh.
Today, Kohli is known as a record-breaking batsman and a cricketing icon. His journey proves that while grades are important, they don’t define your future. Talent, focus, and dedication often matter much more.
