Breaking: Air Ambulance Crash-Lands Near Kedarnath, All Passengers Safe After Emergency Landing | ABP NEWS

A major incident was reported from Kedarnath Dham today, where an air ambulance crash-landed during an emergency landing attempt. The tail section of the helicopter broke off during the descent, but fortunately, all individuals on board are reported to be safe.  The air ambulance, named Sanjivani, was dispatched to Kedarnath to transport a critically ill patient named Devi, who was suffering from respiratory distress. However, due to rapidly changing weather conditions and a sudden technical malfunction, the pilot had to initiate an emergency landing just before reaching the designated helipad. According to reports, the helicopter experienced issues with its tail rotor, leading to an unstable landing. Thanks to the alertness and swift response of the pilot, a major tragedy was averted. Onboard the helicopter were two doctors and the pilot, all of whom are confirmed to be safe. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has been notified, and a technical investigation is now underway to determine the exact cause of the malfunction. Helicopter services are commonly used in Kedarnath due to the region’s difficult terrain and for transporting pilgrims, especially during emergencies. This incident has once again highlighted the challenges posed by sudden weather changes in high-altitude regions.
