Why attacking Turkey means attacking US? This is why this Muslim country became powerful…
Amidst the India-Pakistan dispute, Turkey has been in news for all wrong reasons. Turkey, which India had helped wholeheartedly when the earthquake devastated, has displayed its allegiance to Pakistan. This is the reason why Turkey and its products are being boycotted in the country. Turkey has been exposed after helping Pakistan during Operation Sindoor. However, astonishingly, US is maintaining friendly behaviour with India’s enemy.
The US is even selling medium-range air-to-air missiles to Turkey worth 225 million dollars. In such a situation, if India or any other country thinks of attacking Turkey, will that attack be considered on America as well?
Criticism of Trump’s attitude
Donald Trump is being heavily criticized for the way he tried to take credit for the ceasefire between India and Pakistan during the war. Because the Foreign Ministry has made it clear that the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan was done directly at the level of DGMO and that too on the request of Pakistan. The reason for this was that the action of the Indian Air Force was very effective, that is why Pakistan had to come to its knees.
What is the relationship between Turkey and US called
Turkey and the US may not have direct relations, but both countries are members of NATO. NATO’s main objective is to protect the freedom and security of allies through political and military means. NATO is the principal security instrument of the transatlantic community and an expression of its common democratic values. NATO has three main tasks, the first is collective defense, the second is crisis prevention and management, and the third is cooperative security. These tasks are contained in the Strategic Concept 2022, the key document used by the alliance to define its policies, military capabilities, and operational action, following the North Atlantic Treaty.
Why is US helping Turkey?
In such a situation, the US has approved the sale of missiles worth $304 million to Turkey, a step taken to strengthen NATO ally trade and defense relations. On one hand, Trump is telling the lie of his interference in the ceasefire between India and Pakistan, while on the other hand, he is extending a helping hand to Turkey. Two days ago, Trump even shook hands with the terrorist on whom the US had once placed a bounty of crores and had also sent to jail. But the way US has taken a U-turn against terrorism, it can be dangerous for India. The whole world knows what Trump’s attitude is like, he does not miss any opportunity to take credit, whether he has done that work or not. He tried to do the same during the India-Pakistan ceasefire.
