No New COVID-19 Cases in Odisha, Says Health Official

Bhubaneswar: Despite a surge in COVID-19 cases across several Asian countries, Odisha continues to maintain a Covid-free status, with no new Covid-19 cases reported in the state, informed a health official on Saturday.
Speaking to media, Dr. Nilakantha Mishra, Director of Public Health, said that no new Covid-19 cases have been detected in Odisha. Testing continues as usual, with active testing facilities across the state.
Amid reports of rising Covid-19 cases in countries like Singapore, Thailand, and Hong Kong, the state health department is closely monitoring global trends, he said.
No special alert has been issued in India at this time. However, both the Centre and state government are on alert as the number of Covid-19 cases are being reported in Singapore, Hong Kong and Thailand, the health official added.
