Are Pakistan’s nuclear bombs safe in Asim Munir’s hands? The answer is…, it’s because…
New Delhi: Are Pakistan’s nuclear bombs in safe hands? This question arises because once again the world’s concern over Pakistan’s nuclear weapons has increased. Also, the big question is, can Pakistan’s nuclear bombs fall into the hands of terrorists? This question is even more alarming because if terrorists get hold of nuclear weapons, the chaos that could ensue is unimaginable. Could the world be in danger because of Pakistan’s nuclear bombs? The global community needs to take this question seriously as the situation in Pakistan is rapidly deteriorating.
This raises another question; is it time for international monitoring of Pakistan’s nuclear bombs? The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) needs to wake up, or else Pakistan could become a Nuclear Time Bomb any day. But why did things get to this point?
Reportedly, after Operation Sindoor, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jamaat gathered terrorists and extremists in Karachi who spewed venom against India. Pakistani minister Rana Tanveer visited the devastated headquarters of Lashkar-e-Taiba in Muridke where he met injured Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists.
Reports further say that the Pakistani army has assured all kinds of assistance, including monetary, to the families of terrorists. Terrorism is a part of Pakistan’s policy against India, and Pakistan’s nuclear weapons policy was also initiated due to animosity towards India. In such a scenario, there is a greater likelihood that Pakistan’s terror policy and nuclear weapons policy may converge.
Pakistan currently has 170 nuclear bombs. According to SIPRI’s report, if even one of these nuclear bombs falls into the hands of these terrorists, just think about the devastation that could be unleashed in the world. Perhaps this is why Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, who reached Jammu and Kashmir today, tried to draw the attention of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to this issue.
Rajnath Singh clearly stated that the IAEA should monitor Pakistan’s nuclear bombs as they are not safe in the hands of an irresponsible and rogue nation.
