Class XII results: Students of government, private schools shine equally

Unlike the trends observed in matriculation results, the Class XII results declared by the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) for 2025 have shown near-equal performance from government and private school students. Of the 75 students who secured top 10 positions, 40 are from government schools while 35 belong to private institutions.

Girls have outperformed boys by a wide margin, securing 61 of the 75 top positions. Boys managed to grab only 14 positions among the top 10 ranks. The overall pass percentage this year stood at an impressive 83.16%, marking a steady rise compared to 74.5% in 2024 and 79.6% in 2023. A total of 86,373 students appeared for the examination, out of which 71,591 passed.

The 2025 HPBOSE Class XII results have not only reflected academic excellence but also highlighted inspiring stories of determination, discipline and the impact of strong family and teacher support.
