Tata Motors To Boost EV Plans, Focus On New Launches & Cost Cuts

New Delhi: Tata Motors is planning more product actions this financial year to make electric vehicles (EVs) more common in India. The company wants to grow its EV range and make its current models more valuable for customers.

This year, Tata Motors will launch the Harrier.ev, and later the Sierra.ev. It will also improve some of its existing EVs to attract more buyers.

In FY25, Tata Motors sold around 65,000 EVs, which is 10% less than in FY24. Despite the fall, the company is still focused on EVs and wants to make them a bigger part of the passenger car market.

The company shared its plans in a presentation after announcing its latest financial results. It said that it would continue to work on building the EV market with better products and a stronger support system.

Tata Motors also has big plans for its petrol and diesel vehicles. It will improve its hatchbacks and SUVs to keep them fresh and competitive.

To increase sales, Tata Motors will run strong marketing campaigns and team up with popular brands. It also plans to open more large-format stores in important markets to reach more customers.

To stay ahead in a tough market, Tata Motors is working on cutting costs so that it can remain profitable and competitive.

In its commercial vehicle business, the company expects things to improve. It hopes for better fleet usage and a stable market, helped by strong macroeconomic indicators.

Tata Motors will also handle the new AC rules for trucks smoothly and add more value to its offerings.

The company said it wants to lead the future of mobility with smart tech, new models, and better customer service. It also aims to grow its market share and win back customers in the small commercial vehicle (SCV) segment.
