'Always ready to kill...': Watch Army's alert gunners shooting down Pakistani missiles along LoC in Operation Sindoor

Operation Sindoor, India's tri-service joint operation against terror bases in Pakistan, was also display of India's layered air defence system that thwarted strikes targeting military assets along the Line of Control. The India Army on Monday released visuals of how its air defence (AD) gunners shot down Pakistani drones and projectiles along the LoC.
India launched Operation Sindoor on May 7 to avenge the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22. Terrorists with alleged Pakistani links killed 26 persons in Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam. To avenge the gruesome terrorist attack, India launched a military operation targeting terror launchpads at nine locations along the LoC. Though India maintained it does not wish to escalate the situation, Pakistan launched drones and projectiles targeting India's military assets at 26 locations along the LoC and International Border.
The operation also displayed prowess of India's air defence systems, including AKASH missile system, S-400 missile system and other air defence technologies India possesses. Army's recent video showed how AD gunners deployed along the LoC shot down Pakistani projectiles.
Pakistan launched drones and missiles targeting Indian military assets on May 8,9, and 10. In retaliation, India struck 11 air bases of Pakistan, destroying 20 per cent of the Pakistani Air Force's assets. According to defence officials, about 100 terrorists were killed in Operation Sindoor.
Meanwhile, the Indian Army conducted a demo of air defence systems that protected key cities of Punjab in Amritsar on Monday. Major General Kartik C Seshadri told ANI that under Operation Sindoor, seven of the nine targets were exclusively destroyed by the Indian Army. The Army also displayed debris of Pakistani drones and missiles.
