Here's What GT Skipper Said After Historic Win Vs DC
Shubman Gill (Gujarat Titans Captain):
"Feels great. To be able to get that Q on the board. But I think still 2 important games left for us. Getting momentum into the playoffs is key for us."
"Feels amazing. I have talked about this a lot. When I am batting, I want to play as a batter and not think about captaincy much. Last year, it was a learning experience for me. In the backend of last year, that's what I learned."
"Yeah, we were right back in the groove. Our fielding has been below par, we dropped a lot of catches leading up to this game and we got the time to reflect on that."
"When you are in form, Sai has been in tremendous form. The way he is able to convert the starts, you don't talk about much. You are playing the ball, you are seeing the situation and condition and you just tell yourself to go back a little and not to let yourself go in the flow. When we were batting in the middle tonight, we talked about finishing the game and not to leave it to someone else. On this wicket, you never know."
"Honestly, at the halfway point, we felt we gave away 15 runs extra. They kept wickets in the hand and utilised the wicket pretty well. When we went out to bat, we decided to play good cricketing shots. Once we are in the flow, we can take the game from there."
"Not much, I got sick so the break came in handy for me. Yes, definitely. Two more important games for us, we want to get into the playoffs with as much momentum as possible."
