Candidate Hires Youth To Take His MP Police Exam In Morena; Change In Aadhaar Photo Spoils The Plan

Morena (Madhya Pradesh): A candidate in Madhya Pradesh's Morena has been caught cheating in the Police Constable GD Recruitment Exam 2023 on Monday.

The cheating was discovered during document verification before joining, when the photo on the exam records did not match the current Aadhaar photo.

Atendra Singh Rana, a resident of Sabalgarh in Morena district, allegedly sent someone else to take the exam in his place.

To carry out the fraud, Atendra updated his Aadhaar card before the exam by replacing his photo with that of the solver. After the written exam was held on 8th September 2023, he again updated his Aadhaar card the next day to restore his own photo.

To avoid being caught during biometric verification, the thumb impression was taken twice on the machine to blur the fingerprint data.

The cheating was discovered during document verification before joining, when the photo on the exam records did not match the current Aadhaar photo.

Officials then checked the update history of his Aadhaar and found that it was changed multiple times around the exam date, raising strong suspicion. A special investigation team was formed by police headquarters, which later confirmed the fraud.

Sub-Inspector Hariom Singh from the SAF 13th Battalion submitted a report, and based on this, a case has been registered at Madhoganj police station. Police are now searching for the accused.

Additional SP Niranjan Sharma confirmed that the candidate had tampered with his biometric data and used a fake identity in the recruitment process. The investigation is ongoing.
