Bhopal: Saree Showroom Gutted In Fire At Malviya Nagar, Goods Turned Into Ashes

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A sareeshort circuit showroom was gutted in a fire which broke out at Malviya Nagar market on Monday evening. The fire spread to two other adjacent shops but it was contained by firefighters.

According to reports, the fire erupted at the showroom of one Pankaj Jain at Malviya Nagar Market and soon took a massive form. The area was evacuated as the fire began to spread to adjacent shop of Sanjay Jain and another trader.

The blaze caused chaos and panic among locals as several feet high flames could be seen even from distant areas. Fire tenders rushed to the spot after receiving information. Firefighters started dousing the fire while another of their team ensured that no one was trapped inside the showroom and adjacent shops and buildings.

TT Nagar police also reached the spot and helped firefighters in containing the blaze. The fire was doused after an hour’s effort but the showroom and goods owned by Pankaj Jain were gutted while the fire also caused partial damages to adjacent shops.

Police officials said that exact reasons behind the fire were to be ascertained but a short circuit may have caused it.
