Online admission portal launched for UG courses
Haryana Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda on Monday launched an online admission portal for undergraduate courses for the 2025–26 academic session, aiming to streamline college admissions across the state.
He said around 1.86 lakh students have cleared Class 12 examinations this year and are eligible to apply for various undergraduate courses. “The admission portal has been opened from May 19, which is earlier than last year when the process began on June 3, to ensure students face no delays or inconvenience,” said Dhanda.
All colleges have been directed to upload seat availability for each course within 15 days. Students can choose their preferred institutions and complete fee payments online. The first merit list will be released soon, followed by the second and third lists at seven-day intervals. Any leftover seats will be filled by college principals through counselling, based on advertisements in newspapers.
Eligible students can register at https://admissions.highereduhry.ac.in. Dhanda added that SMS alerts with the portal link have already been sent to all eligible candidates.
Highlighting government support, he said, “The Haryana Government does not charge any tuition fee from girl students in government colleges. Similarly, SC students with an annual family income below Rs 2.5 lakh are fully exempted from tuition and college fund payments — be it government, aided, or self-financed institutions.” He added that SC students in government colleges also receive a Rs 12,000 scholarship and Rs 2,000 for books.
For transparency, all applicants must possess a valid Parivar Pehchan Patra. Registration errors can be corrected by emailing: admissions@highereduhry.com.
