BJP to recommend special package for shelling hit people of J&K: Sunil Sharma

RAJOURI, May 19: Leader of Opposition in Assembly, Sunil Sharma said his party will recommend a special package for the victims of Pakistani shelling in Jammu and Kashmir.
Sharma along with BJP national secretary and MLA, Dr Narinder Singh, MLA and party vice president, Sham Lal Sharma and party spokesperson and MLA, R S Pathania and party general secretary, Vibodh Gupta was talking to reporters here, today during their tour to shelling hit areas in Rajouri district.

He said that India, for the first time in recent history, has responded with unprecedented fierceness against Pakistan’s terror operations. He highlighted India’s multi-pronged response, including targeting terror infrastructure across the border, applying diplomatic pressure, imposing economic constraints, and suspending the Indus Water Treaty.
Sharma also condemned certain political persons who support a soft approach toward Pakistan.
Dr. Narinder Singh said that while the Indian military displayed a high level of professionalism and maintained restraint successfully targeted only the terrorist infrastructures across borer. He said Pakistan ashamed humanity by openly supporting terrorists. He said that India is moving forward with the mission to become a world superpower and current conflict has established India’s might. The public welfare policies while strengthening the nation militarily and economically has shown the on-ground results, he said.
Sham Lal Sharma reaffirmed the BJP’s commitment to the people and assured that the party is actively following up with the administration to expedite relief operations. While assuring them full help by the BJP cadre along with the Government, he appealed to the citizens to stay united.
Vibodh Gupta lauded the all-party delegation initiative and said that the united opposition along with the whole nation is supporting the strict stance taken by the Government against the terrorism and Pakistan.
RS Pathania called on people to act as responsible citizens by strengthening the society in this challenging time, showing vigilance, patience and compassion.
Earlier the BJP delegation visited the villages of Chatyar, Pathan Mohra, Dhangri, Ghambir and Gunni in Rajouri District and interacted with residents affected by heavy shelling from Pakistan.
District president, BJP Rajouri Dev Raj Sharma also accompanied the delegation.
Senior leaders interacted with the locals, to know their issues and assure them of the relief and rehabilitation measures.
BJP leadership also met the administration including the DC, and DIG to discuss the prevailing situation and the steps undertaken for the relief and rehabilitation of the affected people.
They also visited the Government Medical College (GMC) in Rajouri. They met with patients who were injured due to shelling by Pakistan, inquired about their health and well-being, reviewed the medical care being provided, and wished them a speedy recovery.
They also assured the injured individuals of all possible support.
