Video: Travel Vlogger Feels THIS Place In Japan Is Straight Out Of Studio Ghibli Movie; Here's What Netizens Say

A few weeks ago, the Ghibli image trend where AI-generated images mimicking the creations of Studio Ghibli went viral, took over social media. Now, a travel vlogger has found something even more interesting: a real place in Japan that looks just like those dreamy, animated scenes.

Travel vlogger Ananya Ray recently posted a video from her trip to Japan and suggested that she saw Ghiblified places for real.

She mentioned that the Ikoma Cable Car Torii-Mae Station in Nara, Japan, where she rode the Cat Cable Car left her with Ghibli vibes. With its charming cat-themed design and beautiful surroundings, the ride reminded her of the enchanting visuals created by Studio Ghibli.

“There are places in Japan that feel straight out of a Studio Ghibli movie,” Ananya wrote in her Instagram caption. “The Cat Cable Car is Japan’s oldest cable car, and for just $2, it takes you to one of the most peaceful spots in Nara", she added.

The video even featured on-screen text calling it “A real life catbus exists in Japan".

Her reel struck a chord with fellow Ghibli fans. One person commented, “I went there! It’s my absolute favorite spot from two trips to Japan.” Another added, “This is sooo cute!”

While her travel reel surfaced online in March, it went viral after the recent AI image trend. So far, the clip has gathered 1.2 lakh likes.
