DMK Man 'Forced Girls To Sleep With Politicians', Claims Wife; AIADMK Alleges Police Inaction, Cover-Up

A 20-year-old college student from Arakkonam has leveled serious allegations of physical and sexual abuse against her 40-year-old husband, Deivaseyal, who is reportedly a Deputy Secretary in the DMK Youth Wing. The young woman’s disturbing claims have sparked a political firestorm and raised concerns over political interference in police proceedings.

In her complaint, the survivor alleged that Deivaseyal subjected her to extreme physical violence and coerced her into non-consensual acts. “He used to bite me like a mad dog,” she recounted in a video statement circulating online. She further accused him of using his political clout to exploit young women for influential individuals, claiming that his work was to make 20-year-old woman sleep with politicians, as per a report on NDTV.

The woman also said she was repeatedly threatened with harm to her family if she ever went to the authorities, reported News 18. 

Opposition Accuses Cover-Up

The incident has prompted strong criticism from the opposition AIADMK, which alleged a deliberate delay in police action due to the accused’s ties to senior DMK leaders. According to the AIADMK, the Arakkonam police initially hesitated to file an FIR despite the seriousness of the charges.

AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami took to social media to denounce the ruling DMK’s handling of the case. "Arakkonam is a witness to the tyrannical rule! A massive protest was held near the old bus stand in Arakkonam by the Ranipet East District Committee, condemning the Stalin-model government's police for failing to act against the DMK youth wing deputy organizer who sexually assaulted a college student," he said. 

Palaniswami also accused the DMK-led government of ignoring the rising number of sexual crimes against women in Tamil Nadu and called for immediate legal action against the accused.

The controversy comes on the heels of another major case involving the Pollachi sexual exploitation gang, where the convicted were recently handed consecutive life sentences.
