VIT Mauritius signs an MoU with Binghamton University, USA

VIT Mauritius & Binghamton University, USA recently signed an MoU to empower future leaders by offering transformative education and cross-continental opportunities.

The MoU was signed by Dr. G. Viswanathan, Founder & Chancellor of VIT & Dr. Harvey G. Stenger, President of Binghamton University (SUNY), New York, USA. The event was held at the Binghamton campus in the presence of Nobel laureate Dr. M. Stanley Whittingham and various other senior leaders from both the institutions.

“This strategic MoU marks the beginning of a long-term collaboration between the two institutions that will pave way for the students to explore various academic opportunities at one of the leading institution in the USA” quoted Dr. G. Viswanathan

VIT Mauritius was born in the pursuit of expanding globally to contribute to the international community's peer learning among students from different continents. Located in the Indian Ocean, Mauritius serves as a hub for international students from Asia, Europe and Africa.

Mauritius has an inspiring landscape, enjoyable tropical climate and is a safest country to live in. English is the official language making it easy for international students to acclimatize. Students are eligible for a 20-hour-per-week part time work and three-year work permit.

VIT Mauritius is approved by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Government of Mauritius and offers Bachelors of Engineering in Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering with Artificial Intelligence and Computer Engineering with Data Science. Classes commence in July 2025 and the university boasts outstanding collaborations with leading academic institution and offer excellent placements to the students
