Helping Hands for Every Farmer : A Greener, Stronger Punjab with Mann Government
In the heart of Punjab, where every field tells a story and every farmer nurtures dreams under the open sky, a quiet revolution is underway. Under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Maan Government is bringing the bold vision of a Rangla Punjab to life, not just in words, but in action.
Across the state, from bustling towns to the quietest farmlands, transformative efforts are being made to uplift the lives of women, youth, and farmers. The mission is clear — to fuel growth, inspire hope, and build a Punjab that thrives on progress and prosperity.
Irrigation: The Lifeline of Our Farmers
In agriculture, water isn’t just a resource it’s a promise of livelihood. Recognizing this, the Mann Government has launched several forward-thinking irrigation initiatives to ensure that every field, no matter how remote, receives the water it needs.
Whether it’s about increasing yield or ensuring timely harvests, access to adequate irrigation is key. Keeping this in mind the Maan Government has rolled out strategic projects to channel water straight to farmlands ensuring all farms and farmers flourish.
₹100 Crore Commitment for Sangrur
A significant budget of ₹100 crore has been allocated to boost canal-based irrigation systems in Sangrur district ,a move aimed at strengthening the region’s agricultural backbone. This initiative is expected to benefit over 20,000 farming families, directly impacting their productivity and income.
With this, more than 38,000 hectares of land will now receive consistent irrigation — a game-changer for the region’s farming community.
What’s Changing on the Ground?
- Laying of underground pipelines to ensure smooth and reliable water delivery straight to the fields.
- Minimized water wastage and enhanced crop productivity.
- Less dependence on costly water sources, helping farmers save money and effort.
Relief for Waterlogged Farmlands in Fazilka
While some farmers await water, others suffer from too much of it. In Fazilka, where waterlogging has been a persistent issue, the Mann Government is planning a dedicated intervention to reclaim and rejuvenate submerged lands. Work on this much-needed project will begin soon bringing relief and renewed hope to affected farmers.
Sustainable Solutions for the Future
The broader irrigation strategy doesn’t stop at individual projects. The Maan Government is working tirelessly to:
- Strengthen irrigation infrastructure across the state
- Provide subsidies to farmers for better irrigation access
- Support water conservation initiatives in the Kandi belt and beyond
Through these integrated efforts, over 30,000 hectares of land across Punjab will benefit, turning barren patches into fertile, productive land.
This is not just policy. This is progress with purpose.
The Mann Government is not building just canals and pipelines — it’s building trust, resilience, and opportunity for thousands of farming families. With every drop of water that reaches a thirsty field, Punjab takes a step closer to becoming truly Rangla again; vibrant, self-reliant, and future-ready.
A stronger Punjab is growing; one farmer, one family, one field at a time.
