VIDEO: Massive Fire Breaks Out In DMU Train Near West Bengal's Siliguri

Siliguri: A massive fire broke out in a DMU (Diesel Multiple Unit) train near West Bengal's Siliguri on Tuesday, May 20. Videos of huge flames billowing out from the rear side of the 75720 Siliguri MLFC DEMU train surfaced online. The incident reportedly took place at the Gaisal station at around 1:55 pm.

After the blaze erupted, panic gripped among passengers. Upon receiving the information, authorities rushed to the spot. A firefighting operation was promptly launched.

In the videos that surfaced online, an envelope of black smoke could be seen engulfing the surrounding area. According to reports, no one was injured in the fire incident. Passengers were safely evacuated from the train.

In March this year, a coach of 19483 Barauni Express running from Madhya Pradesh's Narmadapuram to Bihar's Barauni caught fire near Seoni Malwa tehsil of MP's Narmadapuram. Probe revealed that the last bogie of the train containing luggage and generator caught fire.
