A new genealogical study reveals that football icon Eric Cantona, Pope Leo XIV, and author Albert Camus share distant ancestry. All three descend from families rooted in Roquevaire, Southern France, specifically the Negrel lineage dating back to the 1500s. Despite their diverse legacies, they are cousins through a shared Provençal bloodline spanning 12th to 16th generations.
