Disabled man gets battery-operated tricycle at samadhan camp in Rohtak
The samadhan camps being organised by the district administration on directions of the state government are proving beneficial for residents.
Jaiveer, a disabled man from Baland village in Rohtak district, had come at a Samadhan Shivir and requested for the grant of a battery-operated vehicle.
The applicant, who has 100 per cent disability, told Rohtak Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Narendra Kumar that he was provided a battery-operated tricycle nearly four years ago, but it got damaged on being hit by a vehicle.
After listening to his request and seeing his condition, the ADC directed the District Red Cross Society (DRCS) Secretary Shyam Sunder to provide a battery-operated tricycle to Jaiveer.
The applicant later met Rohtak Deputy Commissioner Dharmedner Singh during a programme at the local Red Cross Bhawan and reminded him of his request.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the DRCS Secretary to do the needful at the earliest.
Following the directions of the Deputy Commissioner and the ADC, the District Red Cross Society has provided a battery-operated tricycle to the disabled applicant. Jaiveer has expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister, district administration and District Red Cross Society for the gift.
DRCS Secretary Shyam Sunder said the vehicle had been provided to the applicant by ALIMCO company.
