Mullanpur school ground cleared of junk
The police today cleared the ML Puri School of Eminence, Mullanpur, complex of case properties and junk, paving way for a safe and spacious playground for the students.
The horticultural waste lying at the ground is also being removed by MNREGA workers from the school and the work is likely to be completed in a day or two.
For more than past two years, case properties, seized cars, earthmovers, tippers and tractor trolleys were parked on the side of the school ground as police station and the school share a boundary wall with each other.
The Chandigarh Tribune had highlighted the problem plauging the school complex on May 18.
Village residents and school authorities today thanked the police administration for addressing their long-pending demand.
School principal Jyoti Bhatia thanked the authorities for providing ideal conditions for a school. Sarpanch Jatinder Singh Dhaliwal, meanwhile, visited the complex and expressed hope that children will get a cleaner environment to academics and co-curricular activities.
Kharar-2 Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohit Aggarwal said, “The under-construction building of the Mullanpur police station has also been cleaned and the construction work of the boundary wall will also begin soon.”
