The Yatra was led by JKPCC president, Tariq Hameed Karra alongwith AICC general secretary & CLP leader Ghulam Ahmed Mir besides working president Tara Chand (Ex DyCM), Raman Bhalla, Ch. Lal Singh (Ex-MP), AICC secretary Neeraj Kundan, several former Ministers, legislators, DCC presidents, PCC leaders, Frontal heads, Ex-Corporators and others including- Mula Ram, Ravinder Sharma, Yogesh Sawhney, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma, Ved Mahajan, Th Balbir Singh, Yash Pal Kundal, Rajnish Sharma, Gurbachan Kumari Rana, Indu Pawar, Th Hari Singh Chib, Kanta Bhan, Dina Nath Bhagat, Krishan Chander Bhagat, Kanta Andotra and many others.
Addressing a large gathering, Karra questioned the silence of PM Modi over the opposition demand for an all party meeting and a special Parliamentary Session to discuss vital questions before the nation. He also questioned the silence of PM and BJP leadership over the highly condemnable hate utterance of Minister from MP, Vijay Shah targetting a decorated Army officer, which speaks of the mindset of BJP. He welcomed the Supreme Court for taking serious notice of the Minister’s utterances.
He said that the nation needs to be taken in to confidence over various questions right from Pahalgam carnage to the announcement of ceasefire by third country which has happened for the first time in the history of country. He questioned why the security was missing at a vulnerable place like ‘Beisaran-Pahalgam’ despite prior intelligence inputs and termed it a serious security lapse. The security of UT is under the Home Ministry directly, so the Government must own the serious security lapse leading to the martyrdom of 28 persons. He said that the entire country stood behind the Armed forces and the Government including the entire opposition deferring all vital questions for the sake of nation.
AICCC chief said that our Armed forces bravely fought the Pak sponsored terrorism and furthered their glorious record of valor and bravery in conducting operation ‘Sindoor’ but it is highly questionable that our Foreign Minister S Jai Shankar has admitted that at the start of the operation the GoI informed the Pakistan about such operation, when our jawans were risking their lives to attack the targets.
He said that the ceasefire announcement by the US President came as a surprise to the entire nation, as to how a third country could do so when our forces were fighting a war against terrorism and terrorist state. He said that US President further claimed that he used trade to get the ceasefire between the two countries, which is again more serious and needs answers from the Prime Minister.
Karra said that today the nation remembers the bold and dynamic leadership of Indira Gandhi in the wake of the situation being witnessed by the nation. He also questioned the success of our foreign policy when a rouge state Pakistan even after Pahalgam carnage managed to secure over one billion IMF aid.
He said that the country needs answers to very important questions although we salute our all forces for their bravery and discipline.
AICC general secretary and CLP leader GA Mir lauded the Armed forces for their role and saluted their bravery and devotion to the country. While raising questions over the silence the Prime Minister over the highly condemnable statements of BJP Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, even though Supreme Court has taken serious view in the matter of hate speech of the Minister.
